"Nocturne", the brand new single from UK prog/djent metal outfit Tesseract is now available for streaming at this location or through the Soundcloud player below. The single features the band's new singer, Ashe O'Hara, who recently joined Tesseract and it is a good opportunity to see how he gels with the band. The single is officially released on October 12th.

The band is set to hit the road this winter with Devin Townsend and Fear Factory in the following UK dates:

Dec 13 - Wolverhampton, Wulfrun Hall
Dec 14 - Glasgow, ABC

Really nice track. New vocalist works

Heard most of it yesterday. Couldn't even finish it it was that bad.

That was uninspiring. Oh well... I'm slowly losing my interest in this band.

I think the band's musical skill and talent has so much potential, and the new vocalist actually has a pleasant tone that isn't nasally or whiny. I am a huge progressive fan (I can't really consider these guys progressive -- Technical maybe.) so I'm a sucker for syncopated instrumentation, but this is a song of over-saturated pauses and breaks. I feel it just interrupts the musical flow to the point of crash and burn. People out there will like it. I just don't get it.

This is not bad, i just recently got it this kind of metal, and i really loved "one", if all the songs on the album are going to sound just like this, it will be a weak album, but maybe this is a calmer one...

Hahahaha I know!!! A friend sent me the track asking me to check out the production and bass tone. I couldn't get past a minute of it.
God I can't stand the vocals. I think their recruitment is whiny or GTFO

That's pretty much it exactly ;]

Meh...its ok. New singer is better than the last guy, but still not as good as the first guy Dan. Musically this song is ok.
Monolithic - 05.10.2012 at 02:30
It's good enough. :]

This is the second time I'm hearing this band and I don't get it it at all. I hope they have more interesting material. This is a bore really, but maybe it doesn't represent their talent well? I dunno you tell me
