Landmine Marathon announced that lead vocalist Grace Perry has parted ways with Landmine Marathon in order to embark on non-musical pursuits. The band has already announced her replacement in Krysta Martinez, the lead vocalist of Portand-based band Transient.
Martinez has stated about her newly-gained position in the band: "I'm stoked to be creating music with Landmine Marathon and look forward to hitting the road with them in coming months. Grace is an amazing vocalist, and filling her shoes is a great challenge. Things have been incredibly enjoyable so far and the best is surely yet to come."
Also, there is a version of their song "Dead Horses", re-recorded with Martinez on vocals, currently streaming and viewable below. "Dead Horses" comes off Landmine Marathon's 2011 album Gallows.

Agreed. Yet, while it could have been worse, this is pretty bad. I dig this band, but if this is an indication of things to come I may not be listening to them any longer.

Is she getting married or shes found God? I first guessed she's focussing on some other art - photography, writing or film-making. But perhaps she committed the ultimate blasphemy, got a haircut & got a real job?

I don't have a problem with the vocals, sounds good enough.
I'll miss Grace Perry fantastic body and face though. |
