According to an interview with Vicious Volume, a metal radio show in Singapore, Max Cavalera (ex-Sepultura, Soulfly, Cavalera Conspiracy) is forming yet another project whose confirmed line-up so far features Greg Puciato (The Dillinger Escape Plan), Troy Sanders (Mastodon) and Dave Elitch (ex-The Mars Volta). This promising supergroup hopes to end the writing process on December and enter the studio next year.

Make sure you don't confuse this project with Giraffe Tongue Orchestra, another supergroup in-the-making that features a suspiciously similar line-up consisting of Brent Hinds and Ben Wienman (also from Mastodon and The Dillinger Escape Plan, respectively) with the addition of the also ex-The Mars Volta Jon Theodore and Eric Avery from Jane's Addiction.

Below, you can watch the relevant excerpt of the interview with Cavalera.

Well if it's what he wants do then fine, just don't expect me to like it (but if it actually ends up sounding like Nailbomb then I might like it). I see he finally got rid of those fugly disgusting dreads. Lol.

Unhealer - 03.11.2012 at 02:48
I hope Max Cavalera doesn't do all the songwriting, because that line up is really good. Anyway, Giraffe promises a lot more.

I wish to be re-born in a universe where he had a GOOD relationship with those dudes who made up Sarcofago. Imagine if they only had *one* band their whole damn career-maybe one or two seperate groove albums to keep Max happy (but only Chaos AD quality).

I dunno, they stilll had a grudge with each other during the 80's/90's so I usually associate one with the other.

Again, in another universe this might've been possible. I dunno about you, but I'd love to have that blackened deathrash sustained for good bit longer.
