08:58 - Dima I just payed $30 to see both Ne Oblivi and Beyond Creation. Fucking WIN
07:46 - Maco Some good old school thrash metal. [link]
23:09 - Apothecary I wouldn't say the black and the doom is easily distinguishable with Elysian Blaze either (at least not on the latest album)
22:37 - Erik M. It's not exactly Elysian Blaze... by which I mean that the black and doom metal are extremely easily distinguishable.
22:34 - Erik M. I just did though. Of course I wouldn't know, but Brown Jenkins definitely has a doomy vibe going on. Hard to figure out whether it's just slow BM or doom metal. I'm apparently the only one (along with Lucas) who thinks it's doom.
Les Fleurs Du Mal, the new album from Therion is currently streaming online in its entirety. In case you are curious about it, you can listen to it at this location. Les Fleurs Du Mal will finally see its physical release tomorrow, November 27th, in North America via End Of The Light Records.
This is the band's 25th anniversary album and it features covers of French songs. The band also sold the album on their Flowers Of Evil tour.
This album was exactly what i expected it to be. I couldn't even get through it all. Just forgettable 2-4 minute songs really. I don't know if it would help if i were French, or maybe an avid Opera fan, but it's just plain boring. Therion is my favourite band btw too, but these last two albums are not for me.
Does Johnsson return to the mic? Christofer Johnsson roaring a french pop song would make this worthwhile.
Or a creepy love duet between the Vikstroms (the song itself not creepy, creepy cause of the singers).
