American metalcore band Bleeding Through has announced that the band will disband after the release of seven albums since their inception in 1999. The band's swansong will now be The Great Fire, released last year. However, before they go, Bleeding Through intend to play farewell shows all over the world.

Frontman Brandan Schieppati told in a statement: "When you have some success doing something that you love, you never really think about writing a statement about that something coming to an end. Well, that dream that we have had as Bleeding Through has come to an end. I think I can speak for the rest of my bandmates in saying that we always hoped it would end on our terms, and it has. We have been fortunate to have a strong fan base worldwide and have brought joy to many and pissed off many more."

"We have been honored to be part of a expanding the musical movement of heavy music and hope to be remembered as a benchmark and pioneer of a specific style of music. We have been a band since 1999, and many of us just had life catch up with us in the way of marriages, kids, businesses and other endeavors. We can no longer dedicate what we need to to keep Bleeding Through going."

"Personally, I feel doing this band in a part-time fashion is not what this band is about and feel like we have always been an all-or-nothing band. With that being said, and because we have established a worldwide following over the last 14 years, we want to give us and those people one more chance to share in this music together. We are setting up farewell tours. Dates will be up and promoted very soon. To those who supported this band: It has been an honor."

Its a band I grew up with as a teen...I grew up in Orange County listening to Bleeding Through, Atreyu, Avenged Sevenfold (before 2004), Throwdown and many others. Guess the marketing for Metalcore has gone down...all things must come to an end.

Thank fucking god. Definately one of the worst metalcore bands around.

Tis you who are wrong, I reviewed one of their albums awhile back, think I gave it a 3. Stand by that now. Just awful stuff.

You reviewed This Is Love, This Is Murderous; which is worse only second to their debut. From the songs I've heard on YT, their last 3 are much better in quality. Also, in comparison to their fellow genre-mates such as Winds of Plague, Atreyu and Bullet For My Valentine, they're much more consistant.
You stand by your point and I'll stand by mine.

If you guys are gonna type up reviews or argue honest opinions on the internet, could you at least spell correctly? The letter A appears in neither "definitely" nor "consistent"...

I mean, do you want to be convincing or not?

I don't know whether to pity you or laugh at you.
