Official press release:

After a bloody successful maiden voyage in 2012, Decibel Magazine is doubling down on veteran star power for their second annual national US tour. This spring, the plague spreads as Decibel brings you three living legends of death metal and grindcore: the preeminent gore institution Cannibal Corpse, rabble-rousing UK grind icons Napalm Death and NYDM stalwarts Immolation. Kicking off in May, this year's Decibel Magazine Tour gauntlet will last a full week longer than its 2012 counterpart, spanning over 30 North American dates.

While occultism permeated last spring's inaugural dB tour - featuring exclusively European headliners in Behemoth, Watain, the Devil's Blood and In Solitude - they looked (mostly) to North America for this year's unholy assemblage. Three of Decibel's favorite underground powerhouses will take on this year's rotating opening slot: demented Bay Area death-grinders Cretin, Canadian tech-prog upstarts Beyond Creation and Beltway grind/powerviolence crushers Magrudergrind. And the time is ripe to see the new bleed into the old: three of the six artists performing are expected to have new records detonating during the tour.

"We're psyched to be headlining this year's Decibel Magazine Tour along with Immolation and Napalm Death," says Cannibal Corpse bassist Alex Webster. "This is a lineup of bands that have been a consistent part of the death/grind scene for decades, and we're proud to be a part of it. It will be a legendary night for extreme music."

Seriously though, El Corazon? That's like the smallest venue in Seattle. Gojira's tour went to Studio 7 which is bigger that and got sold out and there were so many people there that you couldn't even mosh correctly for the longest time. I hope the venue get's changed to a bigger place.

So are we going to have a new Immolation album ?
Kingface - 23.01.2013 at 01:37
Wow! I would love to see this line-up do some UK shows!
BlueMobius - 23.01.2013 at 04:31
I think I'm more excited about seeing Magrudergrind than the other three bands.
I_Die_Often - 23.01.2013 at 05:35
Just may have to see this, never seen Napalm Death

I've seen Cannibal and Napalm plenty of times. Same thing with Immolation, but Immolation is one of my favorites if not the favorite Death Metal bands. Also super excited to see Cretin in the lineup! Overall a great tour..all 3 bands have something special...
Crepuscule|Vigil - 23.01.2013 at 05:41
All *6 bands have something special...
Boxcar Willy - 23.01.2013 at 05:42
AND probably the best power-violence band ever, Magrudergrind

If you are able to go, do it.
Mattybu - 24.01.2013 at 07:58
Would be super inclined to go if Beyond Creation was the opener for the venue near me. Even if not, Cannibal Corpse and Immolation and Napalm Death that's nice.
