Danish metallers Artillery have announced that their former session drummer Sven Olsen has passed away due to cancer. He was also a member of Missing Link, a band with connections to Artillery and which was formed by guitarist Michael Stützer in 1988 when Artillery was on a hiatus.

The band released this statement about it: "Sven Olsen who was a member of Missing Link and played one show with Artillery in Vega 1998 has passed away because of cancer! We are sure that he still plays the drums somewhere out there! Our thoughts goes to his family! R.I.P."

In 1998, Missing Link split up and the Stützer-brothers and Rönsdorf reactivated Artillery as the musicians performed a show at a venue in Copenhagen with help from Peter Thorslund and drummer Sven Olsen from Missing Link.
