The masters of melodic death metal Amon Amarth have a trick up their sleeve this Friday. You don't have to wait any longer for the new cover because the band has just unveiled the cover art of their upcoming album which will be called Deceiver Of The Gods. You can feast your eyes on the very Amon Amarthish cover here.

According to the band, the cover depicts the last battle between the Gods and Loki who arrives at Vigridr field accompanied by the army of the dead during Ragnarok, the end of the world. Epic?

The new effort follows 2011's Surtur Rising and will come out under Metal Blade Records.

All fairness though you could more or less predict how the songs on this one are going to sound.

Have you heard any songs on the album? Or are you just judging other people's hard work without any proof?

I'm talking about the artwork.

Well the Vigrid battle is one of my fave stories and therefore that TOTTG track "Tattered ..." one of my fave AA songs all around, but the cover is not that epic somehow... let's see..

Art Cover is no state of the art but that will do considering most Metal artworks are crap or cheesy... Going to listen to the new song the,, music is what really matters here !

Amon Amarth is starting to remind me of Call of Duty... releasing decent enough entertainment frequently, but nothing spectacular, and nothing ground-breaking--just barely different enough with each release to keep it from getting too stale. Also, it's incredibly overrated by the fans.

They are not what they used to be, but still this album should be worth a try.
