...And it's fucking garbage!
pyrz - 13.04.2013 at 20:54
Not great but better than anything on Surtur Rising.
Carl Berg - 13.04.2013 at 20:58
Woah, they've tried something different... This is actually pretty cool.
Stoned Crow - 13.04.2013 at 21:06
The second half, beginning at 2:26 is more appeasing to my ears than the first half.

I agree. Hopefully the new album won't disappoint.
ImperialTroll - 13.04.2013 at 21:11
Not bad...The music sounds more "agile" and flexible so to speak...Hope this isn't the best song in the album tho!
moe5512 - 13.04.2013 at 21:33
Nothing special with this one. suprise suprise
Rage in a bottle - 13.04.2013 at 21:40
It's classic Amon Amarth... It was heard before but I like it nevertheless... Haters are gonna hate!
drf1223 - 13.04.2013 at 21:51
The composition does sound a bit different, something I'd need more than a couple sentences to explain, though the chorus is still very Amon Amarth-esque.
Catchy as hell though. Here's to hoping the album will be a bit varied and this is only the killer opener.
X5452 - 13.04.2013 at 21:51
Typical Amon Amarth song, not bad but not special either. We'll see how the rest turns out
FeskarN - 13.04.2013 at 22:04
Sounds like a typical Amon Amarth opener, solid riffing & catchy. I like it!
Cynic Metalhead - 13.04.2013 at 22:55
I go here with Stoned as other half of the song is well crafted and nicely structured..

But, it will be too early to give it a shot about their new record.
Jaeryd17‍ - 13.04.2013 at 23:09
Not bad, but (as expected) it didn't blow me away, either.
Machiavelli - 13.04.2013 at 23:15
Looking for something knew but didn't get it.
Rulatore - 13.04.2013 at 23:25
I don't know, I think that's somewhat new, not utterly amazing, not bad. It's enjoyable
Lokaeda - 13.04.2013 at 23:35
It's not bad, it's just boring.
Ace Frawley - 14.04.2013 at 00:13
Keep up the good work AA; keep it coming!

What is happening to Amon Amarth...

I definitely wouldn't say that. The chorus and the solo are definitely Amon Amarth, but the opening melody and the riff really threw me for a loop.

I'm definitely looking forward to the album. I was super excited for the new Ghost album, now this looks like it'll be overshadowing that release.
Rasputin - 14.04.2013 at 00:51
I think this will be another Surtur, and Surtur was...yeah

I really hope not....the track is more promising than what Sultur offered but still not anything special like the two preceding Sultur...
Slyfang - 14.04.2013 at 01:45
It's very nice. I don't see why people are complaining. What the hell are you expecting from them?

Yeah definitely, the first half isnt terrible but its a little simplistic and repetitive. Overall its pretty decent though

That's what I thought when I listened to the sample from Surtur, I forgot what song. But when I got the album, was I angry.

Now, that is something we can agree upon

A groundbreaking work or art unlike anything this world has ever seen!!
Jk... this is exactly what I expected, they sound like Amon Amarth as usual.
Kuroboshi - 14.04.2013 at 04:06
I'm not sure why everyone is complaining... Having listened to the song once, I don't feel it's "classic" AA, except for the chorus perhaps. It sounds much more aggressive than the usual AA (ie. Surtur Rising).

This sounds like it will be their best since Versus the World.

I beg to differ.

TOTTG was pure filler. Recycled tracks from WOOOS
Rasputin - 14.04.2013 at 09:02
I disagree. Surtur was maybe filler of TOTTG, but TOTTG was no filler of WOOOS
moe5512 - 14.04.2013 at 12:52

Title track maybe. The rest.. HELL no

Meh, sounds ok.
Dinruth - 15.04.2013 at 03:38
Have to give it a couple more spins .. I don't know why so many people are hating on surtur rising .. I thought it was a great record ..
Malaghost - 15.04.2013 at 15:30
This is just weak. Zero originality, I feel like I am listening to some old unreleased song.
malaikat - 15.04.2013 at 18:26
Amon Amarth song no.167. At this point more effort goes into AA's cover art than their songs.
crucifiedjesus - 15.04.2013 at 20:11
Well its definitely amon amarth. Surtur Rising was a bust imo hopefully this is better though this song is no indication of that
MetalSpider - 17.04.2013 at 04:18
Didn't even know until few days ago that AA was coming out with a new album.

Anyways...the song is alright, nothing special. I'll definitely check out the album though.
s_t_s - 17.04.2013 at 13:58
Well not bad, not great either but I don't want to judge a full album on a single track since this is what tricked me last time with Gateways fro Abrahadabra by Dimmu Borgir (and this song was definitely the weakest of the album).

Wait'n see then
