It looks like Carnifex's hiatus is over. The band announced that they were going on a break but were optimistic about the future. Today there's good news for the fans. The Californian metallers announced a new deal with Nuclear Blast. Carnifex will begin recording their Nuclear Blast debut this July at Audio Hammer Studios in Sanford, Florida, with famed metal producer Mark Lewis (Arsis, DevilDriver, Deicide, Six Feet Under). You can expect a release tentatively sometime in the first quarter of 2014.

Carnifex also welcomes longtime friend of the band Jordan Lockrey as their new lead guitarist.
