Turisas - Another New Track Streaming Online

After sharing the song "For Your Own Good" from the new opus Turisas2013, the Finnish folk metallers Turisas have a new song today for us to listen to and it is "Into The Free" this time. So, this is your opportunity to listen to another piece and a different side from their new album. The band has already played "Into The Free" on the past festival appearances.

Olli Vänskä (violin) on the new song: "'Into The Free' shows a completely different side of the new album: it's fast, uplifting, raw and contains some super catchy sing along parts. We already played this 'freedom anthem' on a couple of summer festivals and the reception was really good right from the start. As an instant crowd mover, I believe the song has already earned its place in the setlist of the upcoming tours."

The new album is scheduled for a release via Century Media Records on August 23rd in Finland/Germany/Austria/Switzerland/Norway/Australia/NZ and August 26th in Europe while the UK will follow on September 2nd and North America on September 3rd. "For Your Own Good" is still streaming here in case you want to hear it again.

There is a song in there somewhere, but every little bit of Turisas' character has been stripped away. Where has the Battle Metal gone?

Indeed, doesn't sound like Turisas anymore. And the production sounds really flat and boring.

Thought this was better than the first one (For Your Own Good) but agree about the production - sounds like a demo!!?!?

I'll check the rest of the album when it's out, still very unsure that i'll download it though.

WTF has happened to these guys? This is awful, a piss poor generic PM track.

The song also felt alot longer than 4 minutes.

Yeah...it's slightly better than the first one they released (that's not saying much). The whole "stripped-down/live" feel they were going for just sounds generic and amateurish here.

Don't like it. Generic song. The Turisas seal is completely lost in this song.

The keyboard sound horrible, like a Power Metal Band in the 90s recording their first demo. The growls sound extremely weak and the drummmer sounds like we wanted to be in a punk band just doing the same thing over and over again.

Yeah... it sounds like it would be a really fun song actually if it was heavier, more powerful and had better production.

Instead it sounds like a bunch of teenagers in Ohio tried to make a folk metal band in their mom's garage.
