Jesu's mastermind Justin Broadrick revealed some good news today. The band is releasing their new album Every Day I Get Closer To The Light From Which I Came this year in September. The successor to Ascension will be released on September 23rd on vinyl, CD and digital through Avalanche Recordings. More should be revealed soon, so be patient.

The album is expected to be "less reliant on the shorter guitar lead songs, and instead looks further inward to reveal a deeper, sombre, but more dynamic musical experience than 2011's Ascension."

Sounds interesting. Is it supposed to read "Every Day"?

"somber" is a good word. was wondering if he'd abandoned the project after a couple years rife with cd's, ep's, singles then a couple years of nothing.

Exciting news, happy to hear that the new album will be heading in a darker direction.
