In Flames - Recording New Album

In Flames have entered the next phase of their new album, namely the recording process. The Swedes have just arrived at Hansa Studios in Berlin to record the follow-up to the gold-selling Sounds Of A Playground Fading from 2011. The recording of the band's eleventh album will continue throughout the year, and in the spring of 2014, we will have the chance to hear the result of their hard work.

David Bowie, Depeche Mode and U2, among others, have all recorded albums in Hansa Studios. The house was built as early as in 1913 and the studio used to be called Hansa by the Wall because of its closeness to the Berlin wall.

The band's singer Anders Fridén says: "When I visited Hansa Studios earlier this year I got goose bumps. There is so much history both inside and surrounding the studio and I want to be a part of that. Magic has been created here and hopefully that will affect us."

So, maybe that will inspire to band to create some magic on the new album.

Sounds Of A Playground Fading was actually a step in the right direction, much better than the awful shit we got from Come Clarity and specially A Sense Of Purpose.

I liked some songs from Come Clarity. Still think it was better than A Sense Of Purpose by miles, the worst of the three. But I do agree that Sounds Of A Playground Fading had some positives.

Despite popular opinion, I actually enjoyed SOAPF.../getsbricked ..and yes, it is because it introduced me to the (very different) of melodic death metal. But still, at least IF are exploring, rather than recycling old songs..

In Flames died in 2001. This is some freaky Anders/Bjorn project.

They've been over for over a decade

Can these posts stop, they appear on every single article about a new In Flames album every single time.
