Hecate Enthroned - Debut New Song

With the release of the new album Virulent Rapture looming, Hecate Enthroned have shared a new track from it for your listening pleasure. The UK extreme metallers are returning after a long silence since the album Redimus. The song is called "To Wield The Hand Of Perdition" and the band describes it as a "blending crushing riffs and skin stripping guitars with epic and intense choirs and orchestration - delivered at a breathless pace with surgical precision and hatred." Is that right? Check it out for yourself right here.

Crank Music Group will be releasing Virulent Rapture on November 25th.

They're melodic black metal, right?

I don't think so 'cause this new song sounds total deathcore.

I almost like it, but I think there's way too much going on. They have this aggressive blend of extreme metal (death/black/whatever) with high-pitched screams and deep growls (good cop/bad cop approach) and background orchestration.

Hopefully the rest of the album sounds less mashed together.
