AFM Records is happy to announce the signing of Australian melodic metallers Vanishing Point. The band will release their new album, Distant Is The Sun, on February 21st. Fans can look forward to a bloody awesome record that features the unique mixture of melodic metal, power/progressive and AOR that the band is known for. Welcome aboard!

The band comments regarding the signing: "Today marks a positive step forward for Vanishing Point as we are happy to announce that we have signed a new deal with German label AFM Records for all territories (excluding Australia and New Zealand in which there will be news soon). We are extremely happy to have a great team who will be looking after our new album and a few after that as well.

To say that a weight has been lifted off our shoulders in finally completing our new album would be an understatement, to know that the new album will finally see the light of day soon for us is a huge release and we sincerely appreciate everyone's patience for the last few years. Our new album is called Distant Is The Sun and will be released February 21st 2014. In the meantime no doubt the wheels are in motion for what may be a busy promotion period starting January so please help spread the word. We have some dust to shake off but we are far from dead and buried - we are back!"
