17:08 - !J.O.O.E.! Yeah I dunno if I could sit through a dub. Though for something like Solyaris it might actually be a good idea.
17:05 - moonflash lol, watch the english dub next time, reading those long subtitles for the dialogues could definitely become a tiring chore. But I still prefer the original Russian. Something about dubs makes the experience not feel right.
17:03 - Apothecary Lynch is working on a new film, I do believe, he's said it'll be something big. Much excite
16:47 - !J.O.O.E.! I do need to rewatch that. I think I fell asleep the last time :P (Solyaris that is)
16:42 - moonflash Yeah, Tarkovsky's movies have a lot of philosophical themes and therfore employ extensive dialogue. That is not to say that this is the sole defining factor of his films: Solaris for instance has some amazing imagery.
16:34 - !J.O.O.E.! I found Stalker a bit wordy for my taste. I kinda wish it relied more on imagery than abstract philosophical / religious ideas and dialogue. That's just my taste though.
16:31 - moonflash @Dima It exists! [link] Quite a good film too, though I personally prefer Tarkovsky's Solaris, which is one of my favourite psychological sci-fi films ever.
British sludge/doom innovators Bong have a new album on the way. Their label Ritual Productions confirmed that they have completed work on the follow-up to Mana-Yood-Sushai, which is due for release on March 2014. More info is coming in the next few weeks but for now you can get a taste of the new track "Polaris" here. Oh, and it's eight minutes long.
The band also released Idle Days On The Yann this year via Blackest Rainbow Records, which is streaming at this location if you still haven't listened to it. These tracks were recorded by Bong back in the Summer of 2009, with the addition of vocals from Holly Forster.
