Wacken Open Air 2014 - Megadeth, Carcass And More Confirmed


Megadeth is confirmed to perform at next year's edition of the Wacken Open Air festival on August 2nd, 2014 in Wacken, Germany. All 75,000 tickets to the festival, set to take place from July 31st - August 2nd, were sold in less than 48 hours. Other bands recently confirmed include Hellyeah, W.A.S.P., Hatebreed, Motörhead and Carcass.

The festival was first held in 1990 as a small event for local German bands. By 1998 the event had become one of the most important in the world and included over 70 bands from all over Europe, North America and Australia. W:O:A is held at the beginning of August and lasts three days.
