Gus G. - Debuts Solo Track

At the end of last year, guitarist Gus G. of Firewind and Ozzy Osbourne fame announced the release of his debut solo album. Today you can hear the first track showcased off I Am The Fire. The opening track of the record, "My Will Be Done", featuring Mats Levén (Candlemass, ex-Yngwie Malmsteen/Therion), can be heard on the video clip below, produced by Patric Ullaeus (Within Temptation, In Flames, Lacuna Coil, Europe, etc.).

I Am The Fire drops in March 17th, 2014 in Europe and March 18th in North America via longtime international partners Century Media Records.

Gus G. checked in to comment about the song launch: "I hope you all enjoy the first taste of things to come. 'My Will Be Done' is a cool rocker track with a modern edge to it", before adding a few words about the impressing list of guests and collaborations gathered and showcase on his solo debut: "Looking back now I can't believe all these great musicians got on board for this album. Everybody brought in their unmistakable style and talent and they really lifted the songs! Check it out and enjoy the music!"

Gus G is a fantastic guitarist, but this is far too self-promoting... sounds like he made the video to sell/promote, not because it is actually good music.

I liked it... Didn't watch the video, only the audio. It's cool.

Well industry-types don't call music vids "promos" for nothing. As for Gus, if I could shred like that, I'd wanna flaunt it.

What I could've done without were the random cityscape shots.

Exactly. Then, Amaranthe's "Invincible" and too many others.
