14:58 - Hex_Omega So it might be something interesting. I'm still waiting for blackened stoner metal. power sludge, gothic post metal or other crazy genres/mix of genres which are yet to be discovered.
14:52 - Apothecary I understand that, I'd recommend giving it a peek though, because it's really NOT your typical drone. Shit, flight's the same way with that genre and even he liked it
14:51 - Hex_Omega Didn't check it yet. Honestly I'm not hyped about drone/noise music. It is generally not my kind of thing.
14:47 - Apothecary What about that Autokrator debut this year? It's mostly drone I'd say, but there's death and industrial on it as well
14:29 - Hex_Omega I would call 'The CNK' extreme industrial.
14:28 - Apothecary I would consider P.H.O.B.O.S. to be "extreme industrial," in a way, but I guess that's debatable
14:19 - Hex_Omega Yay first band on MS with 'Extreme industrial' tag.
According to some reports, the mastermind behind The Devil's Blood and Selim Lemouchi & His Enemies, Selim Lemouchi, has passed away at age 34. The Swedish outfit Ghost B.C. has also posted a message online paying homage to Selim. However, an official statement is yet to be released at this point. Former The Devil's Blood manager Bidi Drongelen and Roadburn Festival organizer Walter Hoeijmakers confirmed the news of Lemouchi's devastating passing but no further details are currently available.
The message from Ghost B.C.: "Children of the World! We want to pay homage to our friend Selim Lemouchi (The Devil's Blood and his own Selim Lemouchi & His Enemies) who has passed away and left the world one great talent poorer. R.I.P."
Today we lost a great musician and friend. Forever in my heart
When everything you have ever wanted is finally done with
When all of your nightmares are for a time obscured
As by a shining brainless beacon
Or a blinding eclipse of the many terrible shapes of this world
When you are calm and joyful
And finally entirely alone
Then in a great new darkness
You will finally execute your special plan
One big regret I have was not catching the Decibel Tour of 2012. I've seen all the bands on that bill, except The Devil's Blood. I had other commitments that night but I should have broken them, had I known. I know it was Selim's will to die but it is a great loss. RIP
He probably took his own life, like he wanted to. If such is this case, we should be happy he left on his own terms and in the way he wanted to go, having felt his purpose was fulfilled. I also mourn he will no longer compose music, he had a unique mind and vision that stoop apart in this world.
