Looks like melodic death metal might have a new diva. Alyssa White-Gluz - former vocalist of the band The Agonist has left the band to join Arch Enemy. While most bands would disband, The Agonist decided to move on and hired a new vocalist - Vicky Psarakis.
The band also released this statement about the reveal: "Today we announce that after 3 albums and countless tours we officially part ways with vocalist Alissa White-Gluz. We wish Alissa all the best with Arch Enemy and her future endeavors.
"It is the beginning of a new and exciting chapter for The Agonist! We are thrilled to announce the newest addition to the The Agonist family. Please give a warm welcome to very talented vocalist Vicky Psarakis! Stay tuned for new The Agonist material coming VERY soon!"
This second part of the Arch Enemy/The Agonist singer swap is what I actually care about.

Now we'll see if most of the The Agonist fanbase was actually a fan of the band/music or a fan of Alissa.
Well, I really like their music but I will definitely miss Alissa since her vocals were perfect for their style... So I hope this new girl is just as good.

I'll be honest I don't know what to think about this, the reason I loved the Agonist so much was Alissa's back and forth style (the band only popped up on my radar because of her Kamelot collaboration). Vicky does sound really good but like Pitwulf, I want to hear the grunts and growls too given it's usually a pretty large part of their vocals.

"Another day, another Doug."
"I'll fight you on one condition. That you lower your nipples."
" 'Tis a lie! Thy backside is whole and ungobbled, thou ungrateful whelp!"
Thanks for this. She sounds pretty freaking good actually. I wonder if she can grunt.
Also I've never heard this Nevermore song before so thanks for that aswell xD
You never heard this Nevermore song before? For shame! I'm glad I showed you one of their best songs then. Nevermore are one of my favourite bands so.

For shame indeed! My first Nevermore experience was The River Dragon Has Come, and I was hooked from that alone. Definitely one of their best songs, and from their best album.
The video does show promise for her singing potential, and she has other vocal covers and songs posted that feature her, but no freaking showcase of her growling. I'm starting to wonder if she is going to scream/growl at all, or just sing...???
