Agreed. One of the most overrated bands on this site in my opinion. I used to enjoy Communion but now every time I try to listen to it I find myself being bored to tears... as I was by this song

I also find it strange of people who don't get Ag Fox's point about owning albums with shitty artwork. In this day and age, with mp3 downloads a huge thing, physical copies are somewhat of a luxury, and having a CD and booklet with awesome artwork is definitely something worth paying for as it gives a tangible aesthetic to the music. In other words people are paying money for something physical so it's not unreasonable to expect that that physical thing doesn't look like shit. It's just a nice thing that gives something a premium feel.

I don't think that's what he meant to imply. Anyone that thinks poor artworks detracts from the music quality is definitely wrong, but as a consumer they have the right to want to expect nice presentation with a physical release. It's their right to choose whether or not to part with their money. I don't think that makes him an idiot like someone said.

Probably because Septic Flesh's music is so middle-of-the road that it's hard to say anything about it other than "It's ok, nothing more" whereas there's two (shockingly awful) pieces of artwork here to dissect. It's not like it's off topic either so if people want to discuss the art then that's their right. What I don't understand is the people moaning about the people talking about the art. Now that's a waste of space, and ironic.

I'm not against people who critique arts but i'm against of those who take too much stress over particular artwork(which isn't even reliable in any of the album page). That not only goes offtopic but it kills the mood of discussing (bands)music(like here, half of the comments is about Seth work which we all have bitched about tons of time).

Let people talk about music in majority, while in minority other assets(as i said art/artist/logo/cuppish tracklisting etc) could be discussed

Not sure how I feel about this song yet...

On one hand there are some really kick ass parts - the symphonic interludes, the breakdown and epic chorus. But on the other hand it's a bit chaotic and kind of generic, the chorus almost sounds too familiar. Hopefully this will be one of the weaker tracks of the album..

Is it too much to ask for another Communion?

Actually we try not to censor opinions here so Lit and every other user has the right to say whether they like the band or not. You'd kill a lot of legitimate conversation here if we limited commenting to the fanboys.

I was pleasantly surprised by the intensity of this track but this is worth no more than a 6.5. That generic riff at 0:37 which takes up 1/3 of the entire song is a big let down. They even tried to bulk it up with some half-assed orchestrations thrown in towards the end of that riff - in fact 90% of the orchestrations throughout the song felt that way. The transitions at 1:32 and 2:02 were horribly executed, even when taken in context as an conceptual abruptness. Not to mention that outrageous outro that a run-of-the-mill metalcore band would be capable of writing.

Ok, maybe I'm in a foul mood, but I don't like the direction the band is headed...
