replica of me

The new singer is ok but her style of singing reminds me of Sabine from Edenbridge. The song itself is decent but far from being memorable.

I really liked the previous singer Manuela Kraller much better...

Soo... now only Epica is listenable in this genre - at least for me.

Didn't understand all the hate on the new singer but now I do, she sounds incredibly weak on those verses.. Also heir songwriting seemed to have peaked with the last album and now gone downhill again, this isn't a bad song at all, it's pretty good actually but it still woulda been a filler track if it was on the last album.

Indeed, minus Requiem, Epica seems to be holding up quite well and TQE is sounding to maybe be their best yet. Though I'm very excited about what Nightwish will do next now that they have Floor, so there is definitely hope there!

I quite like like both "Nightfall" and "Dreamkeeper"; I'm certainly looking forward to the album.
As for Dianne's vocals, I really like them. I find her charismatic and engaging.

I disagree with the thought some people have that only heavy operatic / powerhouse vocals, like Manuela's or Tarja's, are better than more streamlined vocals, like Simone's, and Dianne's in this song.
Higher and stronger vocals don't always make for a better song.

I feel the song is memorable; I hear elements of classic Xandria, as well as the new orchestral influences.

Yes, don't forget about Nightwish and Floor Jansen!
Too bad for Xandria though, they seemed to be on the right track with the previous album but now I think they've lost more than just a good singer. Their sound is weaker too (specially guitars) -it's probably in order to fit the voice but, I recently read on their website, that both guitarists had to sell the gear they used in previous albums because they've got a new endorsement. It just makes me wonder how things didn't work out...

Their last album was the best sympho-metal since Wishmaster (imho). Even Manuella was a great part of this success it would be impossible to do without superb songwriting. Maybe they had just a perfect time frame to write those songs and this follow-up was recorded too fast.

Sometimes these things just don't. They've had some seriously shitty luck with holding onto singers (anyone know what became of Lakonia?), so that may have knocked them off their stride, and Nils's divorce with Lisa might have disrupted things as well. Then again, speaking as a sympho-maniac, I can't say I've ever seen Xandria as one of the genre's most consistent bands. They've always been a bit hit-and-miss.

That said, this album's shaping up to be a massive step down from Neverworld's End. Dianne is clearly an able singer, but the songwriting just doesn't seem to be there.

The singer looks kinda like Taylor Schilling from Orange is the New Black. And her expressions are comical but kinda cute.

Pleasant, not mind blowing. Better than the last track, too.
I feel that this could been better if it were heavier.

This sucks shit. It is totally boring metal, it fucking puts me to sleep. I think I'd rather suck a big fat fucking elephant dick than pay these guys and gal for their shitty-ass cuntbucket musical garbage. Fuck this, seriously, fucking fuck it to hell and damnation and the ruin of all mankind.

hahaha seriously why can't more people bash like this?

Brilliant song. This album will be a blending between the style on India (Dreamkeeper) and the new style on Neverworld's End (Nightfall). I think people make too much fuss about this. This song is gorgeous and even the previous one was good and was pretty much similar with Forevermore or The Dream Is Still Alive from the previous album. Haters gonna hate until the end.

Agreed; it's a mix of classic Xandria and new Xandria, and it's great.

Ηer voice is good, but the rest of the band doesn't make anything impressive.
The outcome of all this is not the best one.

Neverworld's End was exactly what this over-filled genre needed, and even though not everyone can bear an overpowering operatic voice, Manuela's voice with Xandria's new style were perfection. Sacrificium looks like it might turn out pretty good, but the new girl's vocals are not up to par with the previous magic that Xandria had for a brief, but memorable and beautiful, moment.

I'm still not used to the new singer's voice. To me, its the same situation of Nightwish after Tarja left. Even if its good, I cant get into it when the voice that got me loving that band isnt there. Really loved their first 3 Albums, India specially.

Decent song Not enough to have me convinced I'm in love with the new album, but I'm much more excited to see them live now! The vocals are good (and I think the posing she does is quite alright and endearing for this genre). The rest of the instruments, which suffer some because of the mix, are too generic though. All the symphonics in the world can't win me over if the guitars are muted and uninteresting. But ahh well, at least I had fun watching.
