UK metallers Monuments are gearing up for the release of their second album. To follow Gnosis, the band will release The Amanuensis on June 23rd, 2014 in Europe, Australia and New Zealand, and July 8th in North America via Century Media Records. Furthermore, the album cover and tracklist have also been unveiled. Check them out now!

What do you think about the cover?

The Amanuensis, at least the title, was inspired by author David Mitchell's novel, Cloud Atlas. "The album is about the Samsara cycle," reveals John Browne (guitar). "The cyclical existence of life that we are all bound to."

The story of The Amanuensis is divided in 11 chapters whose titles read as follows:

01. I, The Creator
02. Origin Of Escape
03. Atlas
04. Horcrux
05. Garden Of Sankhara
06. The Alchemist
07. Quasimodo
08. Saga City
09. Jinn
10. I, The Destroyer
11. Samsara
