Civil War - New Guitarist Announced

Civil War is welcoming a new member, since long-time friend Petrus Granar just joined the band's ranks as their new guitarist. Differently from what you could expect, no other member left the band, that now features seven members and three guitarists.

Here is the band's official statement: "Petrus have been a friend and working closely with the band since The Killer Angels with demos, arrangements etc. He is a very talented guitarist and good with arrangements. Petrus also worked as a backline tech for the band since last November. It feels just natural to offer him a place with the band as he's been our '7th member' all along. We look forward to have him in our band of brothers and he will add another dimension to our live sound and push the boundaries for what we can do with pretty much everything both on album and what we can make out of it as a live band."

While here you can see a "wet ceremony baptizing him in Champagne, what else..."

In other news, Civil War is currently in the studio recording their upcoming album that will be released through Napalm Records later this year.

A staff guy...
So they're going to be a modern-sounding Iron Maiden. Ok.

That doesn't sound so bad.

In fact, it sounds great! Now they can do dual solos and keep the rhythm guitar going when playing live!
I'm not much a fan of the vocalist, but I can't stop listening to them either.
