Mastodon continue to reveal a little bit more about their impending new album Once More 'Round The Sun. This time, the band released a preview of their new song "Chimes At Midnight." As of now, you can hear an excerpt of this new song. Furthermore, if you pre-order the album at this location you'll receive an instant download of "Chimes At Midnight" on June 3rd.

Am I the only one who really hates it when bands do this? Release the whole track for god's sakes, 50 seconds isn't really enough to judge, at least not for me. That section of the song could have been taken out of any context.

After their first average song, this looks bit same. I also dont understand why the fuck they want to release a preview after their first song has already been streaming online? Are they trying to check us as in "are we likihg the flow or not"?

The Hunter's cover was a bit too simple... this one's cover has too much shit going on at once with way too much saturation. I don't really know how I feel about it, but I'd either say that they're both equally bad or that this cover is worse than The Hunter's. At least Hunter's cover didn't try to murder my eyes with over-saturated fruit-salad colors.
