Haha, that's like saying "compose your own Metal album and upload it here, instead of writing a review of an album".

Metalcore/deathcore albums tend to have some of the most absolutely retarded album and song titles. There was one I saw for this year (forget the band name) that was "Are You Kidding Me? No." Like what the fuck?

Like what the fuck?

Is that really any dumber than what you find in any other genre? Every genre has its dumb band names and album titles, it isn't limited to deathcore or metalcore.

Yeah, when you take a step back metal is pretty silly from just about every angle.

There's a reason why there's a joke about BM titles:

Every genre has its dumb band names and album titles, it isn't limited to deathcore or metalcore.

I don't believe I was suggesting that to be the case. All I was saying is that its frequency comes across to me as being quite higher than average within those two styles

I think that example Apothecary gave is pretty funny actually. Sounds like they take themselves less seriously. Metal needs that.

As pointed out by others in this thread, I think some of the worst offenders come from the genre you have a lot of experience with in black metal. I just felt the need to point that out since the amount of criticism both metalcore and deathcore receive is unjust in my eyes, especially considering how many similarities those genres share with the "real" forms of metal that offer their own silliness.
