Falls Of Rauros - New Song Online

Falls Of Rauros is an American atmospheric black metal band and they are about to release a new album. The opus is called Believe In No Coming Shore and the first track revealed from it is called "Ancestors Of Smoke". The song is ten-minutes long, which means you have plenty of new material to sink your teeth into. What are you waiting for?

The album's exact release date is yet to be confirmed but Bindrune Recordings and Nordvis will release it on CD and LP this year.

They never cease to amaze me... <3

While not the most original band around, they still create some solid atmospheric black metal and this song is no exception to that. Looking forward to the album.

I dunno... Not the most I guess, but there's rather more interesting stuff happening here [and in most of their stuff] than in your average USBM and/or "Cascadian" band. By a lot. You dont hear many bands use acoustics the way they do, and write melodies in a similar fashion.

That said this song takes a bit to get moving but once it does it gets really good.

Rather tired and derivative on the whole. Having never been very much impressed with the band's earlier work, I can't say that I am surprised the same, bored direction is taken yet again. The song doesn't capture me as an atmoshperic black metal record should, nor are any of the riffs even catchy, which is sad. West coast black metal still remains largely king, it seems.

Don't tell me what to do motherfucker.
This song doesn't seem to have the same charm which the last album held. Maybe it will work better in the context of the full release, but I was not impressed, at all. Really bland and uninspired sounding.

I like lots of atmospheric BM bands but this one never clicked for me.
