Slipknot - Debut New Track, New Album Details


After sharing the first song off their fifth album, a track called "The Negative One," the Americans Slipknot are in a sharing mood again. This time, you can hear another new track called "The Devil In I" below. Do you prefer this track? Tell us your opinion about it.

It is still unclear as to who recorded the drums for the new album, but we should hear something about it soon. Roadrunner Records will release the band's new album, the first in 6 years, and follow-up to All Hope Is Gone, worldwide on October 21st. The album will be called .5: The Gray Chapter.

This track doesn't sound like a rip-off from their debut album which is a good thing. More like something from their latest album.

This is probably the best Slipknot track I've heard. All Hope Is Gone - while nothing special - wasn't a boring listen, and these guys look to deliver once again in that regard.

Is this kind of extremely low riff the new trend or something? Not complaining about it, nor about this song (feel pretty neutral about it overall) but I've just been hearing this sort of riff being done by all sorts of modern metal bands lately.
