Deadlock - Former Drummer And Co-Founder Passes Away
Terrible news from Germany today: Tobias Graf, former drummer and co-founder of Deadlock, has passed away at the age of 35. Details regarding his passing are scarce, but several websites have speculated cancer to be the cause.
Tobias co-founded the German metal band Deadlock in 1997 alongside guitarist Sebastian Reichl and former vocalist Johannes Prem but had to step down in April due to "life and priorities". Werner Riedl filled in on drums for the recording of their recent compilation album The Re-Arrival.
Lifeforce Records released the following statement: "Today we come to you with very sad news, long time dear friend Tobias Graf and founding member of Deadlock passed away at the age of 35. We can hardly express the sadness in our hearts and we wish his family all possible strength in these dark hours. Farewell Tobi and may you have a safe journey!"
Napalm Records also says: "We're deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Deadlock's Tobias Graf. You will be missed!"
Deadlock simply posted on their Facebook page: "No further words...you will be missed brother..."

Tobias will be missed in my mind indeed. I seriously love his drumming. Has trying for many years to play some of the Deadlock songs. RIP to one of my favourite drummers.
