Metallica & Deftones - Slated For First Ever Rock In Rio USA
The first ever Rock In Rio USA has announced the first acts that will perform in Las Vegas next year. Metallica and Deftones have both been confirmed to perform. Metallica will headline the Main Stage while Deftones will be headlining the Sunset Stage.
No Doubt, Linkin Park and many others will also perform. These are just the first acts to join the line-up. The festival will feature more than 100 performances and 6 stages.
Rock In Rio USA will take place over two weekends, May 8th-9th and May 15th-16th, 2015 at the MGM Resorts Festival Grounds in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Rock In Rio will build a permanent open air venue, The City of Rock, which will be equipped to receive 85,000 people per day. The festival will feature six stages, streetscapes representing Brazil, USA, and the U.K., a ferris wheel, a zip line and a VIP area.

Rock In RIo Lisboa is a huge success every year. I think mostly because we don't have big "stars" coming to Portugal quite often, so people go crazy. I think it was a flop in Spain. Not sure how it'll work in the US. They are used to having big tours there. I'm thinking they will go with very popular bands, so maybe Korn, Avenged Sevenfold and the likes. Or they can get stuff like Queens Of The Stone Age, Machine Head, Mastodon, who have all performed in Rock In Rio in the past.
