Grammy Awards - Best Metal Performance Nominations
Today, the nominations for the 57th annual Grammy Awards were announced. As usual, there is a metal category. In the best metal performance category, you find Anthrax, Mastodon, Motörhead, Slipknot, and Tenacious D. Two of those nominations are for cover songs included in the Ronnie James Dio tribute This Is Your Life.
"Best Metal Performance" category nominees:
Anthrax: Neon Knights (from Ronnie James Dio - This Is Your Life)
Mastodon: High Road (from the album Once More 'Round The Sun)
Motörhead: Heartbreaker (from the album Aftershock)
Slipknot: The Negative One (from the album .5: The Gray Chapter)
Tenacious D: The Last In Line (from Ronnie James Dio - This Is Your Life)
Metallica are also nominated for "Best Music Film" with Metallica Through The Never.
Black Sabbath took home the award for "Best Metal Performance" for "God Is Dead?" on the last Grammy Awards. The 57th annual Grammy Awards will be held on February 8th, 2015 at Staples Center in Los Angeles and broadcast on CBS at 8 p.m. ET.

We'll keep this MS Awards going. Maybe one day MS will be hosting this award in that fashion. People in the Grammy who are responsible in that category, are most probably poseur. I won't ever expect death metal and black metal bands to be nominated. Tenacious D nominated?! They really doesn't know what metal is. The rest might not or might have a hard time landing in any of MS category list.
