In Flames - Members Launch Book About Meat And Metal
What does food and metal have in common? Well, In Flames members Peter Iwers and Björn Gelotte discuss both on their book Restaurant 2112 - A Tale Of Meat And Metal, now finally available in English version hardcover on Kalla Kulor Förlag. Outside the world tours and sold-out gigs, Peter and Björn are also proud owners of Restaurant 2112 in Gothenburg. Here, together with childhood friend Mattias Lindeblad, they tell the tale of how their dream of their own place became reality.
In the spring of 2011, Restaurant 2112 - so named after the famous album by Rush - opens up on Magasinsgatan 5 in their home town Gothenburg. The restaurant quickly gets a reputation for price winning burgers and a warm, welcoming ambience - a natural hangout for everyone with rock at heart. To the guests, the restaurant has become a second living-room of sorts, a place to pre-party, afterparty, dine with the family or just enjoy. Restaurant 2112 is a must-see for In Flames fans from all over the world.
In the book Restaurant 2112 - A Tale Of Meat And Metal, the reader also gets a unique sneak-peek into the fascinating, break-neck-speed and sometimes crazy life style of a touring heavy metal band.
Furthermore, readers are treated to a number of recipes, from the private collections of Peter and Björn, as well as some official favourites from the Restaurant 2112 Menu. Mattias Lindeblad is a Swedish author and journalist, known from radio and TV. He grew up in Billdal outside Gothenburg in the circle of friends who, later, would put Sweden on the heavy metal map with acts such as At The Gates, Dark Tranquillity, The Haunted, HammerFall, Tiamat and In Flames.

However, we are off topic so I'm going to have make a citizen's arrest. I've lost quite a bit of respect for In Flames as musicians, and this seems like a really strange cash-in which would naturally make me dislike them even more. However, I haven't ever seen the book beyond this thread, so I can't really judge I suppose.
