Sounds very similar to the last album which wasn't that bad. I guess the female vocals are still like an even more irritating Liv Kristen.

I think she does sound a lot like Liv on these songs. Glad to see some growls though. Actually, I think it sounds promising.

Insania isn't a cover of that popular Peter Andre song then?

I do not get why people dislike Ailyn. EIther it is just me getting used to her superb vocals, or people have a beef with her. "Once My Light" at first glance was nothing impressive, but it did grow on me. And after listening to the previews, I am even more hopeful. The thing about Sirenia is not that the vocal suck, but the song-writing usually does. Ailyn does a good job.

First five tracks sounded uninspired as hell. The last six sounded promising, though.

I had the opportunity to listen to it already and it's very confusing. The songwriting could be the best in years, if we put it in At sixes and sevens sound. However the production is beyond any lows. It's just a big mess with the sound. It really hurts my ears to listen to it. And it's a shame, because the writing really got better.

Well, the mix part is still a disaster, like their last album, victim of loudness war
I hope it's just youtube f*cked up.

Thank you. I find Ailyn a perfectly capable singer, and while she's not everyone's cup of tea, people need to see that Ailyn is not the problem, but rather, what she's given to work with.

Indeed. I mean, looking at the last album, it was her voice that made the difference. With the exception of a few songs, the song-writing was the weak point. From what I hear on this one though, she improved even further, but it seems like Morten Veland hasn't been in top shape for a long time. People detest her vocals not because they are bad, but because her vocal performance is not everybody's cup of tea. She has a very dramatic vocal performance, some consider it whiny, but she gives a whole new dimension to the music.
