The Swedish heavy/doom metal outfit Noctum recently confirmed that they will enter the studio later this month to record a 7" for a vinyl and digital release through Metal Blade Records in August, followed by the Fly By Night tour with Steelwing. In other news, guitarist Daniel Johansson has decided to leave Noctum. Christoffer Löfgren (Blade) will now serve as the new guitar player of the band. Christoffer joined the band on their previous tour, and earned his place in their lineup.

Noctum comments: "The two tracks of the upcoming single marks the natural step after Final Sacrifice. There would be no point doing a 'Final Sacrifice pt.2′. Soundwise some people might be just as surprised as Final Sacrifice did compared to The Séance. We're writing material for our upcoming album and this is a small taste of what to come. Keep spreading the word and see you soon."
