Amorphis - New Video Released

Finnish group Amorphis just released a new video for the track ''Sacrifice'' which comes from Under The Red Cloud, their new album. This is the first official full-blown promo video the band releases for this album, after showcasing the track "Death Of A King" in a lyric video. You can watch the beautiful video below.

Guitar player Esa Holopainen commented: "'Sacrifice' is the second release from Under The Red Cloud and it presents a bit more familiar Amorphis with catchy choruses and melodic touch. The video for 'Sacrifice' was shot in Helsinki and Hämeenlinna and follows the lyrical themes of the song. Like 'Death Of A King', 'Sacrifice' was pretty much Jens' decision as a single track. The band finds it too difficult to pick up any single tracks. Haha!"

Under The Red Cloud will be out worldwide on September 4th via Nuclear Blast. Mark your calendars!

I think it's actually better than the first one. Anyway, both solid and I think it will be a very enjoyable album.

Rather pleasant, but a tad directionless and unremarkable. However, same could be said of Hopeless Days from Circle, and that album ended up great, and Sacrifice is better than that song at least. Death Of A King has grown on me since its release, I think it's superior to this one

The song is good, nothing groundbreaking but damn I just love Joutsen's voice.

I preferred the first single more myself, but this isn't bad either. And yes Tomi Joutsen is always great.

Yeah, also thought of Ever-Frost. Also, Turmion Kätilöt's latest video features four guys carrying a coffin in the same way. Guessing Finns are just obsessed with death.

The song is decent, Death Of A King was better. But I suppose this is their "You I Need" or "House Of Sleep" kind of single so that was not unexpected.

I wish this song was half as good as "House Of Sleep"

In the context of the whole album (now that I've been able to listen to it) it kind of stands out as a sore thumb I think. It is the only song with no growls and with obvious radio friendliness. I'm actually happy to state that it is the lowest point of the album (the guitar solo has grown on me a lot since, though).
