Gone Is Gone - New Band Feat. Troy Sanders, Troy Van Leeuwen, Tony Hajjar
After Killer Be Killed, Mastodon's bassist/vocalist Troy Sanders is involved in another new band. This time, it's Gone Is Gone and they will release their debut EP this summer via the band's own imprint, in partnership with Rise Records/BMG. Gone Is Gone is an experimental rock supergroup featuring bassist/singer Troy Sanders (Mastodon), guitarist Troy Van Leeuwen (Queens Of The Stone Age), drummer Tony Hajjar (At The Drive-In) and guitarist/keyboardist Mike Zarin. On April 27th, the band will hit the stage at Los Angeles' Dragonfly for their debut concert.

Yeah maybe now that Mastodon don't really make albums that I enjoy perhaps these guys could do that for me. The snippet also sounds heavy enough to remind me of Mastodon's debut, not as harsh though.
