Trivium - To Tour With Sabaton And Huntress

Trivium are embarking on a new North American tour. The Silence In The Snow tour will be back to the States this fall with Sabaton and Huntress in tow. Tickets go on-sale this Saturday. The trek, which gets underway September 15th at Columbus Newport Music Hall, will be headlined by Trivium. See all the dates below and catch them live.

Trivium frontman Matt Heafy commented on the band's excitement to return stateside: "America! We're coming back to party with all of you. This year has already seen countless cities in numerous countries, and now is the time to bring it back to our home country with our brothers and sisters of metal. We are beyond excited to have one of our favorite bands on the planet, Sabaton on the bill; and we are absolutely stoked to have the incredible Huntress out with us as well. We will be bringing you a show to remember; playing all your favorite tunes off your favorite records."

Sabaton also remarked on the upcoming tour: "On the Heroes tour we came to North America three times and now it's time to return. This time we will do it with our brand new album The Last Stand which will hit stores on August 19th. This means that fans in North America will be able to enjoy the new songs before anyone else. We are joining the great band Trivium for the full run and are sure that fans who come to see us will have a great evening!"

Weird as hell lineup. You've got modern Trivium's hard rock (I don't know if Matt's vocals are still damaged but the tour is named after the album), being opened by Sabaton's super loud and bombastic power metal and Huntress's generic heavy metal. It just doesn't work.

Still prob gonna see it though. Kinda weird that they go to San Bernardino and not LA or SD, but hey.

Nothing can beat the Killswitch Engage/The Black Dahlia Murder/The Devil Wears Prada tour in weirdness though. When I saw Killswitch with Memphis May Fire there was already a lot of movement in the crowd with people coming/going just for MMF or just for Killswitch, let alone with TBDM (melodeath) and TDWP (risecore).

Why the hate? Trivium released one of the better mainstream metalcore albums, Shogun, and Sabaton is amazing live. I don't care for Huntress but they're not awful, just not very good.

I like some gratiutious bashing from time to time. And I dislike metalcore, bombastic power metal and cringeworthy heavy metal, so it's a perfect target
