Timo Tolkki - To Perform Songs From Entire Career


Timo Tolkki will embark on a 2017 tour where he will exclusively perform "Songs From His Career" (1987-2017), including Stratovarius favorites "Black Diamond", "Hunting High And Low", "Father Time" and "Against The Wind". Joining him on stage will be keyboard player Mikko Harkin, bassist Santtu Lehtiniemi, drummer Alex Landenburg and vocalist Mike Livas. Timo handpicked Mike, having discovered his faithful but also passionate renditions of some old Stratovarius favorites.

First confirmed shows:

April 27 - Lemon Music Live - Madrid, Spain
April 28 - Centro Cívico Delicias - Zaragoza, Spain
April 30 - Paberse Club - Valencia, Spain

Sadly he couldn't do anymore some quality music (at least if we judge from his last Avalon album).

Anything post Stratovarius has sadly not been up to par, except Avalon Pt. 1. I do have some respect for the guy though, as he wrote fantastic songs for Strato, and he clearly loves performing and writing, or else he would have just given it all up long ago. Maybe one day he will surprise us all and bring out something that lives up to Episode/Visions. Best case scenario for him and for fans of his older work. You never know
