Shade Empire - Share New Album Details

After releasing a new single earlier this year, Finnish symphonic metallers Shade Empire finally revealed the details for their fifth album, and follow up to 2013's highly praised Omega Arcane. The album will be entitled Poetry Of The Ill-Minded and will be unleashed on June 30th, 2017 through Candlelight Records. The band released a statement via their Facebook page, announcing the details. You can read the full statement and enjoy the artwork below.

They said: "Hailing from Kuopio, Finland, and already in their eighteenth year as a band, Shade Empire work unspeakably brutal guitar patterns, multi-layered and yet beautiful synth walls into ingenious arrangements. Throw in mind-bending electronics, devastating drum parts, complex bass assaults and the unique vocals, and you have something coming straight from the deep pits of hell! The band have notched up various tours alongside the likes of Unleashed, Krisiun and One Man Army And The Undead Quartet. Shade Empire's last album Omega Arcane was a heavily orchestrated concept album and took the band's sound to a whole new level when it was released in 2014. The album went on to reach number 13 in the Finish album charts. The follow up album, Poetry Of The Ill-Minded is soon to be released by Candlelight/Spinefarm. Once again Shade Empire develop their sound even further. Poetry... looks set to be the band's most advanced and brutal opus to date."

As previously mentioned, Poetry Of The Ill-Minded will be the last album with vocalist Juha Harju on duty as a replacement was also announced earlier.

Poetry Of The Ill-Minded track list:

01. Lecter (Welcome)
02. Wanderer
03. Drawn To Water - The Path
04. Thy Scent
05. Anti-Life Saviour
06. Map Of Scars
07. Treasure (In Liquid Dreams Of Mirror Universe)

I would have liked it more if they went with the artwork for the single, this one doesn't speak to me. However I'm very excited for the new music, Anti-Life Saviour sounded awesome.

Last album with Juha?? Damn...
Very average cover. That paint-crappy-something doesn't fit to the music i've remember from early works.

I wonder who their next album wold sounds without Juha on it and if they repeat the Norther and similar bands that has just broke up after the awesome member has left/fired/whatewer.

>complex bass assaults and the unique vocals

Juha has unique vocals - that is right.
