Kamelot - Reveal New Album Cover And Teaser

As promised, Kamelot have revealed the cover that will grace their upcoming album, The Shadow Theory. Coming on April 6th, 2018 via Napalm Records, the pre-orders have been launched here. You can mark your calendars and while you wait, check out the teaser video for The Shadow Theory. It's a short clip of "Burns to Embrace" and the song features Thomas Youngblood's son in the final chorus! The song is a homage to future generations that inherit the earth.

Founder Thomas Youngblood states: "The Shadow Theory album is a psychological journey through the complexity of the Human Mind. We are subjected to stimuli constantly through media, technology, social experiments and AI. Can we still be social creatures in the near future? The Shadow Theory is an album that is mixing many worlds, giving the listener an Escape within our own realities. This album was written and recorded over the entire year and we are really proud of the song elements and diversity on The Shadow Theory."

The record was produced by acclaimed music producer Sascha Paeth and mastered by Jacob Hansen. Guests on the album include Lauren Hart (Once Human), Jennifer Haben (Beyond The Black) and Sascha Paeth. The cover and artwork was created by Heilemania.

This is perhaps one of the weakest teasers I've heard in a while...

EDIT: ...and what the hell are those awful track titles....

Dunno, considering the artwork and track list, the album may well turn out to be a pile of black-colored sugar (industrial elements or not) ...

Yeah... I remember not really liking the ones on Haven at first, either. Plus, I'm hoping there are a couple typos in there and we're actually getting "Phantom Divine" and "The Proud and The Broken"... Because those would be truly awful otherwise...

According to CD2, it is surely to say there're typos. The preview is kinda bland tho.

I'm not excited at all.. have never heard so weak teaser before. Song titles are silly as hell! Well we all understand what (or who) made Kamelot a good band.

If I didn't know Kamelot and know of the personalities of the band members, I would be under the impression that they were a Gothic pop metal band filled only with Lesbian members. That is how this album reminds me of ranging from the teaser to the song titles to the album cover.

Well, that was kind of disappointing after seeing that amazing cover art. Track titles always sound cheesy to me until I listen to the album. I think some of them have typo errors anyways, otherwise, the proud and the broke sounds really interesting

Ah yes! Feed me your anger and your anguish. Poor that salt straight down my gullet! Seriously... Uncap your salt container, I'll tilt my head back. I'll gag, you'll laugh, and I'll profit! Grant me your second unborn child that will never manifest from your basement bedroom of your mother's house! Also, your social security number and the address itself would be most welcome, as well as your mother's maiden name (did I mention I require your social security number in order to steal your worthless identity?), FOR THOU SHALT HATE UPON ANYTHING KAMELOT amirite? No seriously, surrender your identity... I need the cash...

Kamelot are sadly turning into one of those by the numbers Symphonic Metal bands, which is a shame, but I'll give this a go.

What's up with that artwork though? It's not exactly great, I mean it's well done, but it's a bit of a laughable cover.
