Amaranthe - Start Recording New Album

Amaranthe have started recording a new album to follow 2016's Maximalism release. The Swedish band just revealed that they are in the recording process in Denmark with producer Jacob Hansen as we speak and also shared the first studio vlog. Last year, founding vocalist Jake E left and went on to form CyHra. Nils Molin is the new vocalist who took his place.

What are your expectations for the new Amaranthe album?

I remember seeing them a few months ago with Eluveitie (I came for Elu naturally). It was so weird to see the growler mimick to the crowd that he and Elise were sexually active. Seemed a bit unprofessional, but maybe that's just me.

Elize Ryd is the only reason I care a mild amount about this band.

If you're saying that Amaranthe, simply a musical group, are committing a crime against humanity, you're goddamn right sir.

Yep, their stuff is extremely fun and a massive guilty pleasure. Though their last album was their worst.

Honestly, apart from Limitless, I liked it quite much (even more than their first two as a whole)... Let's see what happens with this one...

Possibly, but I still greatly enjoyed several songs - Maximize, On the Rocks, Endlessly, etc.

I still listen to both The Nexus and Massive Addictive semi-regularly, cheesy as hell but they scratch a certain itch that not many other bands do. The last album was pretty terrible, hope this new one si closer in quality to the previous two.
