Askvald is a one man act from Germany which mixes folk metal and black metal. The band's main man is Apocaleon, real name Sven Hornig. He has recently announced via Facebook that their new album has been in the works and is currently being mastered. It'll be titled Nachtschattenreich.

He wrote: "Hey folks. A few weeks ago I finished the mixing of my upcoming 3rd full length album Nachtschattenreich and right now it's about to be mastered by Robert of Naturmacht Productions. The master sample he sent me sounds damn great! It's going to be the longest (11 tracks - about 70min), most melodic, powerful and generally professional Askvald release so far and I'm very excited about announcing a release date (hopefully) soon. Stay tuned!"
