After listening to Rats, I wonder what Forge thinks about his former band members ...

Is it weird that I'm excited to hear someone cover this song because literally anyone else would sound like they were putting in more effort than the singer here? It's like if King Diamond decided limit his range to "I'm kneeling in front of the altar, Satan's cross upon the wall" - totally incongruous IMO to the upbeat, heavy feel of the rest of the track. i.e. it sounds like Ghost.

That said, I'm sure the track/album will do really well.

I am happy to see a couple new cover songs, my favorite Ghost releases tend to be the cover eps. Cool song, should be a fun record.

Artwork of the year for me. It reminds me of Castlevania.

I like the art, very Bosch/Cranach like in its monsters faces besides the Velasquez painting atop dictating the colour. I like even more the fact they covered Pet Shop Boys.

Artwork is very Lovecraftian. As for the song, it's catchy and has some great riffs, especially in the solo. I wonder if that's his new Papa style, looks like the same mask he wore during the Ritual video.

Rats is a cool Ghost song. It's got killer riffing and some nice drums. The video is corny as hell with the over the top dancing. The artwork is gorgeous as always with Ghost. It could be a cool album coming.

Fun stuff, loved that last riff. The song structure was kinda cool as well. Nice album artwork.

What's with this amazing cover art being wasted on Ghost? Was the same on the last album. The concept art is so amazing and the music neither fits it nor even lives up remotely in terms of quality.

With this song, it for sure doesn't fit in terms of quality. But, the thing I find weird is, the art doesn't seem very fitting for pop rock band.

I don't think a lot of people "get" Ghost. I think he tries to purposefully make the band sound campy/cheesy/light rock and couples it with a dark message to rope the masses in. I've never seen it done this successfully before, much to his credit. He is getting fans out of people that would recoil if they heard a blast beat...but with a less than mainstream message.

They're not a pop rock band.

That video has an early 80s vibe. It reminds me of Michael Jackson's Thriller. I saw that video as a child when it was released in 1983/84, I found it awesome, and it stuck with me ever since.

But they are. They are very good, but not metal at all.

Just because something isn't metal doesn't mean it's pop.

We could probably all agree on "pop hard rock", if not "pop metal".

Go listen to the original of "If You Have Ghosts", then listen to Ghost's cover - Forge's delivery strips out all the dynamics, all the life, and wouldn't sound out of place in a Top 40 song.

A good song, despite it kind of sounding like its ripping off the riff from King Diamond's 'Sleepless Nights'
