Ghost - Reveal New Album Details, Video For New Song

We finally have the details of Ghost's awaited new album! The band's new leader is Cardinal Copia and the follow-up to Meliora (2015) is called Prequelle. The cover artwork has already been unveiled. Also, mark your calendars for a June 1st release via Loma Vista Recordings. Furthermore, you can already listen to the first new song called "Rats" on the video available below.

It's like if King Diamond decided limit his range to "I'm kneeling in front of the altar, Satan's cross upon the wall" - totally incongruous IMO to the upbeat, heavy feel of the rest of the track. i.e. it sounds like Ghost. I think he tries to purposefully make the band sound campy/cheesy/light rock and couples it with a dark message to rope the masses in.
