Ved Buens Ende - Announce Reissue Of Written In Waters
Avantgarde black metal pioneers Ved Buens Ende are finally issuing a repress of their album Written In Waters. Soulseller Records will have the album available as an eight-panel CD digipak, and as a gatefold 2 x LP, with three different colors available, gold, transparent red, and black, all of which are limited editions. It will be pressed from the original 1995 glassmaster and will be out December 7th.

The one you posted is the reissue, which I do not like at all. Lazy computer artwork clumsy put on top a nature shot is not better than an actual painting: surrealist, almost Dali-esque landscape of sculptures.

The original spoopy skellingtons cover is so much better it's not even funny. Instantly recognisable, whereas the re-issue is kinda not that interesting.

And the fact that it looks whimsical may have added to its weird factor when it came out, diverging greatly from what people in the scene were used to. The other looks like a cover of a generic techdeth album or something.
