Sweden's Opeth has posted the following message on its official web site:

"Despite trying to come to South America numerous times, it is with regret that Opeth cannot get to South America this year. [Doing] a proper headline show involves Opeth bringing a lot of equipment with them. New airline excess baggage rules mean that this equipment now has to be freighted and the costs of doing this did not make the tour financially viable. We will do our utmost to try and get to South America on the next album tour cycle."
