Ulf Theodor Schwadorf from Sun Of The Sleepless has announced that he is working on a new split EP, which will be released together with Helrunar's Sebastian Körkemeier newly created project Cavernous Gate. This split will be released later this year on Prophecy Productions. Stay tuned for more details.

Ulf Theodor Schwadorf states:

"This is a translation of a famous verse of late romantic german poet Herman Hesse that I incorporated into the lyrics for the song "The Lure Of Nyght" for the coming Sun Of The Sleepless release that goes by the same name. It will also contain more poetry inspired by Joseph Freiherr von Eichendorff and also once again austrian master of bleakness Georg Trakl.

"It's musically and lyrically an ode to the spirit of romanticism. Otherworldly, drawn to the mystics of nature, larger than life and filled with ardent passion and inspiration. It will feature two of the most soulful metal songs I ever composed and performed and three ambient tracks largely based on the hammered dulcimer instrument. I am absolutely content with all material that deeply resonates with myself and can not wait to share it/release it.
It will be released later this year by Prophecy Productions in form of a split release with the yet unknown Cavernous Gate. Cavernous Gate is the solo project of Helrunar's SK and needless to say it's superbly composed and performed atmospheric and dark metal that fits very well to SOTS and will make this release very special. I've always loved split releases. In fact one of my all time favourit albums is the old Emperor/Enslaved split from 1993. In this tradition both Sun Of The Sleepless and Cavernous Gate are proud to share this release with you later in 2019. Stay tuned!''
