Swallow The Sun - Announce Special Finnish Shows


Swallow The Sun have announced their Finnish "20 years of Gloom, Beauty and Despair" tour that will take place in February next year. The band, accompanied on stage by a string quartet, will play the entire second album of Songs From The North, as well as a 90-minute set of songs chosen by the fans. There will be no support act. Tickets go on sale today.

The band said: "Hello! We have a 20 year anniversary next year! To celebrate this we are announcing a very special tour in Finland next February.

"We wanted to give something special for all the fans and this is what we came up with. The evening with Swallow The Sun will start with second album of Songs From The North, 'Beauty'. We will play the full album with string quartet on stage to help us out. We've done this live only once in Finland at Tuska festival some years ago. After that you can take few beers when we prepare the stage for second set of the evening. And this is where You step in! In few days we will start to gather your opinion of which songs you want to hear in our setlist. The 90 minute second set will consists of the songs you wish to hear and it will be a blast!"
