Ray Alder - Launches Video From Solo Album

Fates Warning are working on a new album for 2020 after signing with Metal Blade Records earlier this year, but in the meantime vocalist Ray Alder just put out his debut solo album, What The Water Wants, through InsideOut Music. The video for the song "Wait" is the third one to be released after "What The Water Wanted" and "Crown Of Thorns", and it is available to watch below.

One of my favorite albums in 2019

Somehow I just found out about it yesterday. There's so much stuff coming out, I can barely keep up it seems.

The Arch/Matheos album was very good too. I only hope they didn't exhaust their inspiration because I have high expectations for the upcoming FW album.

Jim Matheos never disappoints IMO. I've never listened to anything he did and did not enjoy it. He started another project two years ago called Tuesday the Sky, not metal, but some sort of atmospheric proggish rock, really interesting, with Kevin Moore invited on a song. If only Jim would convince Kevin for another OSI album. Wishful thinking...

how is it pop music? Not everything that is catchy is pop music. Then South of Heaven is a pop album.

For this song swap Ray with female vocalist - would it now sound to you like Amebrian Dawn?

What a truly mature and well thought out statement. You sir, must honestly grasp the very meaning of existence.
