Season Of Mist has set a January 22, 2007 European release date for the new album from legendary Greek death metallers Rotting Christ, entitled "Theogonia". The track listing for the effort is as follows:

Rotting Christ will embark on an extensive European tour in February 2007 beginning with the third edition of The Domination Tour.
The band also stated, that the tour announced for November of 2006 in the US will be postponned to March of 2007, due to bureaucratic problems with obtainng visas. As soon as the first dates are confirmed for this tour, they will be posted on the band's official website.

I hope it's not some stupid goth influenced metal album and they actually make a stab at reclaiming their black metal good ol' days...that probably won't happen though...  |

| a nice solo, a good "chorus" but the rest...I don't know, just too much fucking around. The continuation of Sanctus Diavolos I guess the titles sounded so...oldschool. Too bad. I'll wait for the album to form a final opinion, though. |

Most of the RC funs like them because they try to be different with every release. They tried black (thy mighty contract etc), heavy metal-like black (non serviam, thriarchy etc), melodic black, symphonic black, gothic (chronos) etc. They evolve their sound with every release. If you want to hear something of the same then Theogonia is not for you, if you want to hear something deferent Theogonia is different. |

The song was fantastic. All the song titles seem to be related to the mythology of creation. Concept album perhaps?
But I'll definately be buying this! |
